Why We Built a UX Template: The Connection Between Unplugged and UX, and What Comes Next

It’s been a while since our last blog post.
The reason is simple: we’ve been pouring our time and energy into building a UX template.
Now, we’re happy to finally release our very first paid product under the Unplugged brand.

This post isn’t just about the template itself, but more importantly—
why we chose to create a UX workflow tool on a media site like Unplugged,
and what we hope to build going forward.

What Unplugged Is All About

Unplugged is a media project that explores how to live intentionally and meaningfully
in a world full of distractions and digital noise.

We’re not against technology.
We believe it should support us—not steal our attention or time.
That’s why Unplugged exists: to help people reclaim their time and focus on what truly matters.

Why a UX Template?

At first glance, a UX workflow template might seem unrelated to Unplugged’s mission of promoting digital well-being and intentional living.

But when you look deeper, UX and Unplugged actually share the same values:
empathy, clarity, and designing life in a way that supports human needs.

UX is all about shaping better experiences—
so is Unplugged.
We don’t force answers. We offer gentle alternatives.
We want to be a quiet companion in your busy life—creating room to think, feel, and choose intentionally.

UX projects can easily become overwhelming.
So much information, so many moving parts, and sometimes…
you forget why you started.

This template is our way of reducing that noise—
helping people see the whole journey at a glance, focus on what matters, and feel less stuck.

What We’re Planning Next

Moving forward, Unplugged isn’t stopping at UX.
We’re planning to create more tools, products, and services to help people reclaim their lives in a digital-first world.

Things like:

• Analog tools like notebooks and planners
• Printable guides and worksheets for simpler living
• Lifestyle design kits to rethink your habits and environment
• Family-friendly tools that promote mindful tech use

No fixed formats—just things that help bring more clarity, calm, and intention into our days.

And yes, we need income to keep going.
We live in a capitalist world, but we want to move forward honestly and sustainably—without selling out.
With the help of AI and the support of thoughtful people like you,
we’ll keep building Unplugged, one step at a time.
